To discuss Russian innovation policy programme the delegation will make a visit to the “Skolkovo” innovation center.

Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers, supported by the Russian-German interdisciplinary cooperation, has provided a platform for the discussion with German experts. The topic of the discussion was “The Russian economy before and after the onset of crisis: sanctions; possible turn to China?”

Discussion was moderated by Director General of “EAC-Euro Asia Consulting” Daniel Stähle.

The meeting was also attended by the economic correspondent of the German Society for the support of foreign trade and marketing (GTAI) Bernd Hoenes, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Commerzbank (Eurasia)" Gernot Kleckner, advocate and tax consultant of the law firm "YUST" Patrick Pohlit, economic adviser of the Embassy of Germany on Moscow Nikolaus Vitzthum. The Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers was represented by the Director of the Department of International Relations Pavel Maguta.

In his welcome address to the participants of the event, Mr Maguta put an emphasis on the importance of professional, scientific and cultural exchange between Russia and Germany. According to the head of the Department of International Relations of the RFCL, the political crisis in relations with the European Union did not affect the intensity of relations between the Russian and the German legal profession as lawyers' associations organize their activities on the principle of self-government and independence from the state and are non-political. Moreover, in such difficult times for the intergovernmental contacts professional exchange between advocates creates a bridge for promoting business dialogue.
